Purpose
Gmail Promo Trash is a personal email-management application developed by Echo Lake Systems. The application accesses Gmail only with authorization from the Google account owner and only for the purpose of identifying and managing promotional email according to user-approved rules.
Google user data accessed
Gmail Promo Trash may access Gmail message and thread metadata needed to identify messages that satisfy approved cleanup rules. This may include sender information, dates, labels, message and thread identifiers, and other metadata needed to determine eligibility. The application may modify Gmail labels to move qualifying messages to Gmail Trash.
How Google user data is used
Google user data is used solely to provide the email-management functionality authorized by the user. Gmail Promo Trash does not use Gmail data for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes.
Data storage
Gmail Promo Trash may retain limited operational information needed to safely perform and audit cleanup operations, such as rule identifiers, counts, timestamps, execution status, and non-sensitive telemetry. Authentication credentials are stored separately from application source code and operational telemetry.
Gmail message bodies, authentication tokens, and OAuth credentials are not intentionally stored in application telemetry.
Data sharing
Gmail Promo Trash does not sell Google user data. Google user data is not shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Message deletion and recovery
Qualifying messages are moved to Gmail Trash rather than permanently deleted by Gmail Promo Trash. The application does not empty Gmail Trash or use permanent-delete operations as part of its normal cleanup functionality. Messages in Gmail Trash remain subject to Google's Gmail retention behavior.
Security and authorization
Gmail access is authorized through Google's OAuth 2.0 system. Gmail Promo Trash requests only the Google permissions required for its email-management functionality. Access credentials are kept separate from application source code and are not intentionally written to application telemetry.
Revoking access
The Google account owner may revoke Gmail Promo Trash's access at any time through Google Account security settings.
Changes to this policy
This privacy policy may be updated if Gmail Promo Trash's functionality or handling of Google user data changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
